How far would you push the scene to personal advantage compared with simply surviving after a solar flare or something turned off modern civilization? How big a body count to attain a life of relative luxury for instance? or would you sit in the dark for months and months waiting for the lights to return and normalcy also?

As high a count as necessary. I got guns, I got ammo, I got fuel, I got pre-64 silver coins, I got land, I got a boat. What I don't got is empathy or morals. Also don't have a tractor with a backhoe. There will likely be situations where I need to dig really deep holes so it's on the list.
