Trust the Lord completely
Meera Seshadri

There are certain chapters in life, wherein everything seems to be going topsy-turvy for you!

Be it in the educational or professional front, you find your success curves, taking a downward trajectory. Even at the home front, you watch certain things going off the rails, and you see your inter-personal equations too going awry, with friends!
With things going haywire at all places, apparently you discover yourself drowning in dollops of disillusionment. And to your consternation, you find your guileful rivals, gloriously going great guns in their life!

Naturally, you find your trust in the Almighty, waning and extinguishing all your faith in the Supreme Being. Being mired in the morass of mental depression, you even become skeptical about the Lord’s existence and inwardly start pondering.

“Does the Supreme power really exist? If so, why then is He not monitoring the nefarious moves of wily humans on earth? And, why is this rampant inequity, not marshaled by Him?”

Well, in these moments of distress, whatsoever, one should refrain from nurturing doubts about the Lord’s existence or about His ‘stupendous power.’

The stunning solar system, systematically working with superlative precision is the proof in itself for the Supreme Being’s existence, right?

Now, while being highly disconcerted, one may ask again, “If God were to have existed, why then do we see the good humans suffering to the core, and the not-so-good ones enjoying the life to the hilt?

Here, what’s need is the implicit n’ infallible trust in the Lord’s way of operating things. Though there are certain things that happen, are unpalatable to us, surely there’s a strong reason behind it, and we ought to trust the Lord’s reason for such things happening.

It is believed the quota of happiness is virtually the same for all.
It is only that some spend off their share in the beginning of their life itself, and some others stash it up for the future days! So, just by superficially seeing someone’s life, one cannot simply say things are hunky-dory with them.

Since no person could be termed ‘happy or unhappy’ till he / she breathes his / her last breath.

Furthermore, philosophy has it that the God’s selected ones are several times subjected to series of spine-chilling tests, only to check out their high resilience and endurance levels! But the Lord with his ‘invincible and invisible’ power, keeps bestowing on them His ‘eternal protection’.

And the not-so-good humans are showered with surfeit comfort and luxury, just to make them tread on the misleading prim-rose path, where things appear picture-perfect in their life.

But it seems the Lord withdraws His support from them, at crucial moments of their life!
So next time on, when things go awry in life, don’t let that corrode your faith in God. Trust the fact that the Almighty knows the best, and what’s the best for all!

Personally I find more comfort in the thought that "shit happens" than in the thought that shit is happening specifically to me for some "mysterious" reason.

Sorry but that is so fact free I can't even begin to debunk it. Perhaps the thought that the Solar System is so well designed that it's going to utterly fail in 5 Billion years when the Sun starts leaving the main sequence but it doesn't have the immediacy needed to satisfy the wants of a good Christian eschatology.
In America the battle is between common cents distorted by profits and common sense distorted by prophets.
