Might be worth it for youngsters with good eyes, but at the age of 60 with half sight in one eye it doesn't make a lot of difference to me. I can certainly see the difference in HD and SD, but not so much between 720 an 1080. Haven't seen anything in 4K yet, so I'll defer judgement.

this is not just about TV....the minute you worked on a Hi-rez laptop you'd notice in an instant.

I'm 7 years older than you....the difference is instantly apparent when the content is good including photos and hi-rez web sites.

I'd like to see it on a laptop, maybe when this one croaks I'll upgrade. Won't take long, I imagine, the lifespan of an Intel based laptop seems to be about 2 years (if you're lucky).

Try a 15" Retina for a 5 year machine for any user.
2k screen. 2880 across.....live a little.
