Someone mentioned Harun Yahya on the I Am Muslim thread. A few hours later I got another spam email from his acolyte Seda Aral saying that Oktar had refuted allegations made on Wikipedia. He's set up yet another web site, http://www.replytowikipedia.com/ where he responds to various claims emanating originally from Turkey. I think - I haven't read it yet and he goes on at length.
I'm sure he'll crop up, ere long, on Debunking Creationism but I'm interested in how true the accusations against him are. They all originate from Turkey and I've only seen quotations in English from his enemies. Before we get locked out like the RDF site, maybe some Turkish speakers might to chip in and assess his claims on his new site. Well, having staggered through that mass of verbiage, I find it a mixed bag. There are lots of things worthy of Fundies Say and Debunking Creation but it's the political thing that still has me wondering. He claims to have been persecuted by "Darwinists" since the 1980's and to have been locked up on false charges. I've got the impression in the past that he was involved in Turkish politics and he's now claiming that his enemies have been unmasked in the recent trials of the military secular opposition. Has anyone from those parts any views on whether he hates "Darwinists" because they're associated with the secular opposition, or hates the opposition because they side with "Darwinists"?
Any news of independent Turkish press views on his innocence or otherwise would be interesting, too. Since he's swamping the Muslim world with his Old Earth creationist nonsense, it would be nice to know why.

He sells books. Muslims on average do not believe in Evolution so he sells books that do not have Evolution. Turkey as a food is low in fat, Turkey as a country is low in fact.

I can only ever remember the use of fishing lures posted as actual flies when dealing with this particular fucktard.
