Muslims Threaten South Park "like Theo Van Gogh"

The radical Islamic Web site Revolutionmuslim.com is going after the creators of the TV cartoon series "South Park" after an episode last week included an image of the Prophet Mohammed in disguise.

Revolutionmuslim.com, based in New York, was the subject of a CNN investigation last year for its radical rhetoric supporting “jihad” against the West and praising al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. Its organizers insist they act within the law and seek to protect Islam.

On Sunday, Revolutionmuslim.com posted an entry that included a warning to South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone that they risk violent retribution – after the 200th episode last week included a satirical discussion about whether an image of the prophet could be shown. In the end, he is portrayed disguised in a bear suit.

The posting on Revolutionmuslim.com says: “We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them.”

Fuck'em and I hope that the South Park guys show Mohammed and not only that but having gay sex with a teddy bear of the same name! :evilgrin:

Wow- interesting to see this organization figuring out the precise point at which free speech turns into issuing a threat or advocacy of violence in legal terms- no less in retaliation for an act of actual free-speech and expression (no less a another cartoon)!

Didn't they do an episode a few series back which was all about them being about to show an image of Mo? When Mo appeared he had a big black square over him.

So there is a Facebook group for Faith Independence Day ... encouraging people to smother the internet with pictures of mohammed (may piss be upon him) as a result of this South Park thing. Sounds like a plan to me!

Because rational thought, facts and observations of reality will have the effect of destroying a myth based culture. Not surprisingly that is of concern to them.

Has it not occurred to them?
1. The Deity should be able to protect the Prophet's name, if it mattered to the Deity.
2. If the Deity can't do so, would that not be blasthemy to assume so?
3. If Islam is the truth, then lies shouldn't be able to harm it.

Thanks for telling us about it. It makes me so mad when people try to or succeed in murdering someone over a cartoon or book. Uh......aggggh! If you're gonna kill someone at least do it for a good reason.
