The ludicrous part doesn't lie in his desperately biased interpretation but in the dissonance he ends up in. Indeed, the holocaust, allegedly refered to as a torment allowed by God to punish the Jews, flies in the face of Ahmed's own statement that islam dissaproves of genocide. Hence, his prophecy would come at the price of an incoherent dogma.

True. At the same time, the signs of the End Days is a very popular topic amongst the more shit-headed muslims. The worldwide "oppression of muslims" by the kaffir, the degeneracy of non-muslims, the Jewish Zionist control of the US and the world economy, laws being passed to protect gay rights and to punish those who openly preach Quranic bigotry orthodoxy, evil things being declared good and good things being declared evil, and so on and on. These are all regularly bandied around in islamic discussion circles as being sure signs that Allah is about to unleash his wrath on mankind. The trouble is that very occasionally some impressionable young minds get taken in by this shit and next thing you know they are taking flying lessons.
