Iran banned all music after the 1979 revolution, though soon after traditional music was allowed. In 1997, Khatami started allowing most kinds of music, including rock. In 2005, Ahmadinejad banned "Western" music, but it largely didn't stop it. A couple of days ago I heard an NPR thing about an Iranian band called "Hypernova" who are now living in Brooklyn. So this is not just a Somali thing.

I hope I'm not intruding on a family squabble.

Oh, please. I ONCE, implied that you were (as did several others on that thread). Must have been traumatic, huh?

Oh, I did say it one time outright, AFTER you had called Lucy a "racist bitch." This was as the Dawkins Forum was coming down around our ears.

Just can't get over it, can you?

"several others" as in the Zionist gang?

"ONCE"? My, my, revisionist aren't we? If you will recall RDF history, you and the "several others" would regularly refer to "that" thread and again and again to imply anti-Semitism.

"implied that you were"? What changed, Julia? Are you, *EGADS*, wrong?

And the first thing you thought of after I expressed my opinion of Lucy for her disregard of anything non-Jewish is that I'm an "anti-Semite"? Julia, if I was a true "anti-Semite", would I leave the others in the Zionist gang and your own Jewish connections out of my last words? Seems to me that you don't like me criticizing Israel or Jews.

And now, there is this thread. My, my.
