I must admit to an alterior motive for becoming a member - not an eeeevil alterior motive, but perhaps a tad selfish. I have read your forums for some time, but have now found a reason to utilise the great knowledge and dedication of the members here. I am supposing that some of you know of the "Galileo Movementhttp://www.galileomovement.com.au/who_we_are.php"? For those who haven't come across them yet, they are two Australian CWMs (conservative white men) who sponsered the recent Monkton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Monckton,_3rd_Viscount_Monckton_of_Brenchley vist (or is affliction a better term?) to australia, via the auspices of Gina Rineheart http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gina_Rinehart(haven't fully checked this out yet but it seems solid). They trot out the same old same old, but one of them, Case Smit, has actually replied to my affronted email on their site. I hope to debate him on this forum, pending approval from the mods; I would like to see how deep his denial goes.....

Awesome. Please do debate them, i will be watching very closely.

I haven't heard of these two in particular, but there are no shortage of carbon tax doomsdayers in this country so I'm sure we have all got a good idea of what to expect.

I've learned to respect the profound vacuum energy of worldviews and economic religions founded on economic growth projected infinitely. Fukushima has only reinforced this notion as I watch the BAUists hide behind every stochastic leaf they can, no matter how face-palmingly ridiculous.
