No food or drink allowed

#1  Postby Shagz » Oct 22, 2011 8:03 am

Hey, what's up?

I've been reading through this forum the last couple weeks to escape the crushing boredom of work. It almost works. Then, a few days ago, I felt compelled to post something. Now, I'm here posting some introduction thingy. So, uh, hi.

Drink is the curse of the working class.
Work is the curse of the drinking class.

No food, no drink?

I know of a couple food threads, and at LEAST three that are pretty much all about drinking (though one does have occasional forays into hard science) ...

Maybe if I could drink at work, it would be more bearable.

BTW, Welcome! Don't be rude to the young ladies or you shall fear the wrath of my smacking cane. Don't be rude to the somewhat less young ladies or you will be hit by a wooden spoon. Apart from that, sit right down, call the cat a bastard, and, did you bring a beer along?

Just the one thing wrong with that fulsome welcome, and Nils - bless what passes for his heart ;-) - is just tugging the on-this-forum-prevalent feline paw.

As long as young Shagz does not perpetrate any cruelty to cats (or, indeed, any other animals with the possible exception of pigeons) I will have no complaints if he questions their legitimacy.

Wow, thanks for all the colorful greetings! I feel special now.
It's making work more bearable. Now, if only someone could provide some tips on how to get wasted at work and not get fired...

I have previously stated my displeasure concerning pigeons. They make nest on our balcony and crap all over the place.

Obligatory "Bloody teachers!" remark.
We are alive, so the universe must be said to be alive. We are its consciousness as well as our own. We rise out of the cosmos and see its mesh of patterns, and it strikes us as beautiful. And that feeling is the most important thing in all the universe.
