Unfortunately, Ohio’s anti-cruelty law does not allow for felony-level charges for farm animal abuse, no matter how malicious the act. This is due to the lobbying influence of Ohio agribusiness interests.....

With tough welfare regulations and enforcement animals can be reared and culled humanely, though I admit utter cunts like these will occasionally slip through the net. I rear birds for meat and eggs in my own back garden and I can assure you the meat birds get the utmost respect and gentle handling and don't suffer for a moment.

Some people are just sick fuckers who enjoy hurting animals. It happens to farm animals, it happens to pets and it happens to our fellow humans, thats why strict laws preventing cruelty are needed.

I come from a family of farmers who treated their livestock with respect, and really don't understand what those poor creatures (especially the calves) did to deserve such treatment. In my experience cattle tend to be fairly docile creatures; it boggles the mind. Do these guys beat up their wives and children as well?

Fucking jerk, I hope (in vain) that some form of justice is brought on this Conklin guy. I wish he could experience a fraction of the pain he inflicts on the animals.

We had a story similar to this in SA last year. Was about a chicken farm and how they disposed of newly hatched male chicks in a refuse dump by dumping them alive in the hole so they eventually starved. The report estimated that they dumped about 5,000 male chicks per week into the hole.

How dairy farms did the investigator have to go through to get footage of one clearly maladjusted person behave this way?
