Hyperinflation Looms?

Great technical article full of graphs and things showing how well the global economic patient is doing.

The Looming Financial Holocaust, Massive Bearish Patterns Across Multiple Markets

May 30, 2010 - 05:23 PM
By: Clive Maund, Market Oracle

We had expected the broad stockmarket and the resource sector to stabilize and start to recover last week and they did, and while we are likely to see further recovery in the days and perhaps weeks ahead, there have been some ominous developments in the recent past that we would be most unwise to ignore. The market did not go into full crash mode because it was not technically ready to, although it got close to it, and crucial support held - for now. However, heavy technical damage was inflicted and a broad review of long-term charts reveals that a blood-curdlingly dangerous setup has developed across a wide spectrum of markets.

If you own property and have a fixed mortgage on it, inflation works to your advantage because you repay your debt with cheap dollars.

Yes, but when a loaf of bread ends up costing a squillion quid your property ownership is rather moot.
Would you like a cup of tea with that?

They are too fucking chicken to let the damn over blown piece of shite deflate as it should so they keep trying to pump up artificial values such as housing prices to prevent massive debt default.

Either they inflate out of the debt issue or bite the bullet and let deflation occur as it really should..all the fucking bankers are scared shitless of that....

Just a badly fucked up economy. :yuk:

That'll do it every time.

In the modern era, "the end" is always nigh, I mean, who in early September 2008 thought the economy was going to explode and blow sky high in the ensuing three weeks? Nobody, that's who. But it did it anyway. And we were forced to pump $8 or $10 trillion into it to give it life again, and still it's barely breathing.

And now the nanosecond traders have taken over more than half the value that's traded on the market every day.

And we think this is going to go on? That we're looking at a bed of roses? Just who is kidding whom?

When will large scale corporate capitalism and government metamorphose to embrace modern thinking and allow us to live sustainably?

A few knew it'd end in tears before 2008 but they were ignored just like this time. The small difference is that this time there is no reserve chute when the main parachute fails.

That's hardly a "small" difference, eh? :o

But good I say, maybe we can finally get rid of this beast of an economy we suffer and send it off to the trash heap of history, where it belongs.
