But it was confirmed that it was a suicide bombing right?

How many non-Islamist suicide bombings have there been?

Well, guess what, people? If you can't eliminate the possibility of suicide bombers targeting crowds, hanging about in crowds carries some risk, because the whole point of suicide bombing, crazy as it is, is to trade one life for many. People don't have a natural right to risk-free congregation in crowds of thousands. You can even be swept up in violence propagated by people you think are supposed to be on your side. Go ahead and spend your energy fulminating about the damnation of murderous ideology and grieving for strangers. I'm not saying you're wrong; merely self-indulgent and squandering your effectiveness. Your politicians aren't protecting and serving you any more than America's are protecting and serving their constituents, but how often do you care to recognize that?

Greiving for strangers isn't self indulgent - it's empathic. I'm pissed at Teresa's reaction, but the authorities stop dozens of potential terrorist attacks every year. Saying the police don't care is just...well...fucking delusionally negative. Have we taken our anti-psychotics today cito?

Numerous left wing terrorist groups had suicide bombing attacks in Turkey, DHKP-C and PKK some of them.

In lieu of reporting your post, KIR, I had to give it a thumbs-up. You know, just so you know what your resentment is about. I didn't say the police don't care. They're just underfunded, and underempowered because you (of all people) don't want to live in a police state.

And you're sneakily editing in shit pulled directly from your balloon knot when you think that no one is looking. Quote me grieving for strangers. When you have spectacularly failed to do that, explain how you managed to make the frankly theist level mistake of thinking that 'grieving for strangers' and realising that politicians are only out for themselves are mutually exclusive states. I'll wait.

It's kinda swamped by grieving for strangers, isn't it?

Quote me grieving for strangers.

Oh, this is about you, then. Color me surprised. I'm addressing the congregation.

Someone got out of the hyperbolic side of the bed this morning.

Quote me grieving for strangers.

Oh, this is about you, then. Color me surprised.

If you directly reply to my post and use the word 'you're', you really should not be surprised when I think you are addressing me.

So anyway, I'm still waiting for an explication of your bizarre comments which seem to suggst that because some people are allegedy doing something, they cannot also think somrthing else. Has someone hacked your account? This especially weak from you. For clarification, when I say 'you', I mean you.

Far from saying I'm surprised, I admit I kind of expect it. I have, however, cleared up for you whom I've been addressing.

You can add in the Tamil Tigers and Joseph Stack for some more obvious counter-examples. Anders Breivik, not that he was a suicide attacker, was also mistakenly assumed to have been an Islamist by many commentators.

I'd put 95% confidence on this being the work of an Islamic extremist, but I don't see what harm there is in waiting for official confirmation of that before spouting it out all over the internet.

You're also still sneakily editing your posts when you think no one is looking. Despite your best trolly efforts, this isn't a church. I've no idea why you decided today to come into this particular thread to type nonsense when there have been so many better opportunities, but you're being rather silly.

They do have that right, the reality doesn't always match up to what we have rights to.
I think you are misusing the term.

Saying you don't have the right to something means you either do not deserve it, or an authority forbids it in your society.
Risk and/or the acceptance of that risk has nothing to do with rights.
We all have a right to life, that doesn't mean none of us will die, it means no authority should take that away from us, we deserve it until it is proven otherwise.

Manchester, my friend, is no stranger to gang violence, which has demonstrably killed more people than this bombing did. Get your eye back on the English ball, KIR. Your country sucks a bit right now, and is going further down the drain minute by minute. And yet this forum is rife with dumpf threads. Not that they're not earned, but their eye is not exactly on the fucking ball, is it?
