Humanist wedding dedication

#1  Postby Tim Danaher » Aug 20, 2013 12:27 pm

Does anyone have any links / pointers to humanist wedding dedications? Not the vows that the bride and groom say to each other, but what the celebrant says? The BHA book dealing with this is £652 on Amazon... I've got to do the dedication at a wedding in Germany on Saturday and want to shoehorn part of it into what I've already got prepared...

All help greatly appreciated...

Thanks, Mindhack... had seen that, but what I need is some boilerplate to drop into my speech... for the first few sentences I want them to think that It's going to be formulaic and generic, then I want to say 'Ach, Scheiß darauf!' and launch into what I've really prepared.

Quite a few humanist wedding ceremonies on youtube (mainly in Scotland) - should be able to glean some opening words from them.
