It's all delightful, I remember watching it live, (shit!) Cleese and Palin, who was actually better although as usual Cleese stole the thunder, but whatever... against a dress wearing gay guy who at the time didn't dare to identify as such even though everyone knew, and Malcolm Muggeridge who experienced a miracle while filming the bitch of Calcutta that was later explained to him to be technological improvement he hadn't become aware of by talking to God every weekend...
There are even some delightful, if painful, comments by Muggeridge about 'Saint' Theresa which given her later doubts are exquisite in their refutation of his every point. Too bad he didn't survive to witness that, it might have taught him something, although I doubt it.
What pompous assholes both of those establishment pricks showed themselves to be (Not that Cleese can't be pretty arrogant himself, but). I remember sitting around and laughing at this tv show when I was a kid.
The problem with fantasies is you can't really insist that everyone else believes in yours, the other problem with fantasies is that most believers of fantasies eventually get around to doing exactly that.
