I saw that too, in the Guardian, at the weekend, I think, and I found it fascinating. I don't think it's a waste of grant money to establish that goldfish can purposely navigate towards a place where they know that they are going to find food, rather than swimming around any old where and hoping for the best.

What I've learned today, however, is that there is a word "aborning". Apparently it's "North American".
