Does anyone know this songwriter / singer/ artist?

I saw him perform on the tele (anthony hegarty and the metropole orchestra, utube it :)) some years ago and was moved to tears by the depth and strength of his music. Didn't know who it was back then, but recently saw a documentary about 'm, and found out who the fellow was, yay!
Still get shivers all over when I hear him sing, truly amazing music.

Any fans out there? Or am I the only one

I've only heard I Am A Bird Now but I really liked it. I also liked his singing with Rufus Wainwright on Rufus's song 'Old Whore's Diet'.

Another fan here, though like Kaleid I've only really heard I Am A Bird Now.

I'd recommend Wild Beasts as a similar type of thing (here's their album "Smother") - try 'Bed of Nails'. They were great at Glastonbury

I believe he shot to fame a few years ago when he won The Mercury Prize 2005, or perhaps he was working for years for his overnight success?
He is interesting, a high compliment indeed.

Oh, I love Antony And The Johnsons! There's something really fragile about the music and the way he's performing.

I envy you! He played in Berlin a couple of years ago, but I couldn't attend. Now I'm desperately waiting that he'll come back so that I can finally see him perform live.
Just out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the ticket back then?
