There has been a lot of talk about costs in the publishing industry on Charlie Stross' blog lately, fed mostly by talk about ebooks, and Amazon's mass delisting of one publisher over a pricing disagreement. To correct some misconceptions, he has started writing a series of posts about how things work behind the scenes.

CMAP #3: What Authors sell to Publishers

Thought it might be interesting to the crowd here. I'll link future posts as well, if it is possible somehow.
