aban57 wrote:I'm currently watching videos of ArcheAge, a Corean free-to-play MMORPG released a few years ago over there, and currently in closed beta before its release in the rest of the world, after Trion Studios took over.
It's a sandbox MMO, meaning that all economy, and part of buildings will be lead by players. Some areas wil be reserved for housing (and farming). The surface of the game is huge, in order to let players do what they want inside.
I'm really hesitating right now to buy the 44 euros pack and see what it lookes like.

I'm currently playing this game on the 3rd open beta, and ll I can say is that it keeps its promises :)

An incredible freedom in everything you want to do, questing, farming, sailing, etc.
The only downside right now, is that the community seems a little bit... let's say disappointing. Today, the general chat has been 90% of french bashing. It's funny the first time, less funny the 2nd time, but when it lasts 5h almost non stop, it's really annoying. English players can be so arrogant sometimes...

The Witcher 3 Probably Not 1080P On Consoles

[snip]

Ideally, we’re pushing for 30 frames per second. The resolution, honestly, it depends; we’re working on it, we’re trying to get it as high as possible. If we can make it at 1080P, sure, but I don’t know if it’s going to make it. To be honest, I really don’t know. Probably not. But for sure, we need it to run at a smooth frame rate, so at least 30 FPS.

We’re doing optimization right now and I have to say, it’s actually running quite well. To be honest, we were expecting a lot worse. When we first started playing on PS4 and XB1, we expected the game not to work at all, because it was so heavy, so we were expeciting it to crash, but it’s actually running. It’s not quite there yet, but it’s running. So I think that with a little more optimization, I think we’ll get it running really well.

Gotta love the honesty of CD Projekt RED. I'm sure it'll be a damn fine game regardless.

Both of the other Witchers had large updates to fix issues, it wouldn't surprise me if this one ends up getting one as well. Though I will give them credit they don't just dump a game on the market and say "Well it works so that is it guys see you next game" they put the time and effort in to make it a better game and do so for free.

I give them much more credit for GoG.

I am looking forward to it but I wonder how the low sales of the WiiU will affect it. If I remember right it is based around online play.

Mario Kart 8's online play is amazing and ques are fast even a few months after its initial release date.

I am not too worried about it as Nintendo seems to have fixed a lot of what was wrong with their Wii's online system with the 3DS and WiiU's network.

ETA: and worse comes to worst Darth you can always play with my friends.
