That's what they all say. And then the SCARY happens.

unfortunately, i seem to be heading more towards little indie games, walking sims and pick up and play stuff these days...ach, wel, gone are the days when i could spend hours through the night working through games...these days, i can't get through the night without a wee or two....

What if I told you there was a story mode? :ask:

Without fanfare Dragon Quest XI has gotten great reviews today. Didn't even realise it was out next week. It's one of those games I've been hearing people talk about for years now.

Might get way further down the line. One massive RPG is enough for me for now.

The ridiculously long Kotaku review of DQ is a thing of beauty.

cheers, not seen that one

have had a trawl through some and the main complaints, if any, seem to be the linear nature (to me, that's like the good old days - open world doesn't always suit) and some tropes that anyone in the right mind would expect there to be in a traditional jrpg....

Much like Spyro, I probably won't have time to play DQ until the end of the year. Will still buy it when it comes out anyway, cuz it's fuckin' DQ.

Another hour and a half 'til I can play Act 2 on PS4.
And use my DOS2 pre-order theme which is also locked. Never understand why they do that. Should just give it to you.
