Had a go at VR over the weekend, (the HTC vive), awesome experience but ultimately it’s got all the usual early adoption niggles. Personally I feel it’s going to be a while before it’s worth the money. The resolution is akin to gaming on a CRT TV, and I really couldn’t see myself using it for more than about an hour or two tops. Really glad I didn’t shell out all the wedge without having a go first.

I don't know how Sony are getting away with such a discriminating policy on their Official Forum.

I really should be responsible and go to bed tonight to get up early for work instead of playing HZD at midnight and going in wrecked, but it's not going to happen.

Just went to the north of the map, in Conan Exiles, to find a nice, beautiful, grassy land, with giant statues and waterfalls. 8-)

There must be some good excuse I can come up with to leave work so I can go home and play HZD.

The photo view in HZD is amazing. I'll probably end up spending too much time taking pics. There's loads of options including many different filters and vignettes, the option to remove the player from the picture and, my favourite, the option to change the time of day. This below isn't mine, but its an example of what can be achieved.

Hm. That's like a small modding-tool within the base-game itself. Well, a more complete screenshot function, anyway. If you can have different filters and whatnot. :eh:

Damn HZD is the best looking game I've ever seen. Even more so than The Witcher 3 or Arkham Knight. The fights against machines are pretty vicious too on the hardest setting. The story's a bit weak though. It's like Willow or something.

The new Zelda game pretty much getting 10s all around. Such a waste on a gimmicky console not many people are going to buy. They really need to do a Sega and turn into a gaming studio.

I guess I'll have to wait for it to be emulated on PC in about 4 years.

I'll wait before a second Nintendo game, getting 10s all around, comes to this console before I consider buying it.

Loving the photo mode in HZD. You can pretty much pause the action anywhere and turn the camera around and you'll get a good shot in some direction.

You can even pause the cut scenes.

It doesn't even need a filter or effect to look great.

Yeah, I'm seriously pissed this game is coming out on a console I have no intention of buying ever, the game looks amazing. I may end up having to pick one up in 5 years when the console is selling for nothing because nobody wants it.

In keeping with the theme of robot oppression I downloaded and played Robot Recall last night. Fun and intense. I've noticed a surge of much better produced games for VR lately.

I think that, contrary to the naysayers, VR is here to stay. Sony announced it had shifted nearly a million units of its headset.
They're releasing Farpoint, an FPS, with their new gun peripheral in a couple of months. That might be when I jump on board pending reviews.
I know it was mentioned on the previous page it's not, according to some, ready yet. But someone has to be an early adapter (I don't agree it's not ready) otherwise no one will invest for future and better tech.
