I've been intending to watch this season legally if I can. What services is it being shown on in the UK? And are any that have it as available for PC download on the same day as it's broadcast without being tied into a 12 month contract? I can currently only watch things online and the internet connection my landlord's got for us is not fast/reliable enough for HD streaming.

It's on Sky Atlantic, so I'm not sure if it's available anywhere else.

Well I found it on Now TV, which has a reasonable monthly fee and no contract, but it's streaming only, so no good for me. I find it so frustrating that after all these years, and even with governments regulating to try and block it, bloody torrenting still offers the best service for movies and TV.

I just got NowTV too. Can't wait over an hour for a torrent.

Something's different about its tone or some. I can't place it.

Best season opener that I can recall. :coffee:

As far as tone, it seems a bit more humanistic and felt than it was. Even the opening struck this chord pretty loudly. It's kind of a surprise given the brutality of the last episode, but I was pleased with just how steadily they echoed it through the ep.

At first I thought it was a way to predictable opening with Walder killing his useless sons, had not taken the possibility of a wolf in sheeps clothing into account however.

Wut? How could you not know? Walder was already dead. Unless you thought it was a flash back?

You can't spell "ignorant" without "IGN".

It's been a very long time since Cersei had all of her husband Robert Baratheon's bastard children killed back in Season 1. If you remember, she did that because all of them had a better claim to the Iron Throne than her three children, who were all the products of her Lannister incest with her brother Jaime, thus not making them true heirs to the Throne.

I'd forgotten that.

On my first rewatch now. Doing the happy dance. It's back.

I am magnanimously giving GoT another chance. However, I am only on season 2. I am not sure that I will get up to date by tonight.

I hope there will be dragons. Dragons killing all those fighting for throne. Also nudity. I dunno who is who, dont remember names nor places and less so their relations so burning and getting naked is enough for me.

Just record the season and take it in slowly. It's better if you binge-watch it in marathon sessions.

I know, I was just kidding, as there is now no feasible way to catch up on all the previous series before the new one starts, because it has already started. I think I gave up first time round in season 4 because I was autistically incandescent with rage over massive plot deviations.
