James Gandolfini? I better give it a try.

Just finished the first season of Dark Matter. Pretty descent.

The movie has no connection to the series, except it's from the same production team and has some of the same actors (playing different characters). Not as good either IMO.

I didn't realize the series was in the British language. I'd probably need subtitles. :teef:

Pretty accurate and funny summary of the final episode of Falling Skies:
Bikers show up and contribute NOTHING AT ALL to the plot, until one wakes up the retarded Espheni psychobabies, martyr boy blows himself up with a plot device cleverly disguised as a grenade, Anne dies, the 2nd Mass sits out the final battle crying about Anne... Tom gets captured in Charlotte's web, we get the synopsis for the next episode of "Ancient Aliens" from The History Channel, Tom uses the dildo of death on himself to infect the queen and turn the Espheni into a bad fireworks show... Tom carries Anne to the kraken, a wild Pope appears and dies, and we get some patriotic plot masturbation where the only interesting thing is trying to figure out whether or not that one extra is Micheal Dorn or not... Did I miss anything?
This show basically boils down to: "We're going to unite the world and drive away the alien invaders by constantly and transparently paraphrasing the American revolution, referencing America and fapping to America!"

That would be interesting if I could watch it. Maybe you'd be interested in the documentary thread.

I like that they've kept the original opening theme and sequence from the old X-Files series for the new one. It creates continuity even after all these years.

That's... That's all I've got. I honestly couldn't stop laughing at how cheesy it is and how nutty the dialogue is.

I recently binge-watched the old X-Files series and at some point it lost my interest.

Somewhere around the point they introduced the baby.

A lot of shows seem to want to add a baby when they start getting desperate for story ideas. :(

The old X-files show lost me on the pilot. I seem to remember it being watchable back in the day.

I watched the pilot of Better Call Saul, which has potential.
