A very funny and ingenious twist in this week's episode of Legends of Tomorrow.
*Edit. Unfortunately, they're completely ruining the character of Malcom Merlin.

Btw, for those interested, the following shows have also returned after the holiday break:
Lucifer
The Flash
Agents of Shield
Blacklist

Don't know how I missed it, but Vikings has been on again since November.

To put it into some perspective, mine respectively.

According to wiki the 10 episodes had budget 90mil kr ~ $10.1mil. For Norway perhaps yuge ;) but when things go well some actors from some unnamed show with unnamed physics phenomena in title would have to do one wo/man show to get 10 episodes out.

Norway was occupied during WW2, as were many other countries, while others not so its kind of interesting element or sociological puzzle with various probes into individual souls. Hero - terrorist, occupation - help, good cop and bad solider, greater good and principle.

The plot itself is so far fetched that without seeing couple of episodes it could be hard to suspend disbelief and try to enjoy the Norwegian .. way of doing things.

There are no US Americans involved, at all. Nobody talks about them. I am not sure they even exist in that world lol Better believe it.

And, well, are there surprises? Is there moral of the story? What does it all mean?

wrong...key player

Not far fetched at all. Both the American situation and Norway cutting off oil and gas to force Europe to move faster towards carbon neutral.
GF felt it was frighteningly near term potential.

Norway's threat is from Russia and with the US sidelined...and a land border....

Thorium is not farfetched at all.

The only wrinkle is Russia needing oil and gas and not being able to supply Europe......not a likely scenario.

A take over of Norway by Russia if the EU will not act and NATO is no more is a very real possibility and I like how they show the conflict within Norwegian society from accommodate to fight.

Oh, oh, oh! Angels in America is on iTunes. I haven't watched that in years - and even then it was in poor quality. Anyone else remember seeing it? Or am I the only weirdo who enjoyed it? Here's this.

I heard so many good things about Black Mirror, I was really excited to watch it. Within 10 minutes I was loathing it, but I persevered to the end of the episode. I really wish I hadn't. I can't even begin to fathom what people like about it. It was idiotic, predictable, childish and revolting in equal measure. A real life version of The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs (and yes that's me calling it idiotic, predictable, childish and revolting via a comparison with South Park).

I wouldn't be exaggerating to call it, for me, the worst TV show I ever watched.

Started Blacklist from season 1. I'd tried one or two before, but didn't have the requisite background to enjoy it. It's pretty good. Also Longmire, almost finished with it now. Tried Luke Cage but it's a bit meh. On the boat next week so I need to download some stuff.

No, and I'm most certainly not going to. I should have heeded my own forming opinion and stopped ten minutes in, some things do not get better the more of a chance you give them, another 50 minutes of that drivel only made things worse.

I checked around to see whether people were saying that this was somehow an unrepresentative or weak episode, but the reverse was true, it was consistently described as one of the best.

Fallible wrote:Did anyone ever tell you you're a mean ploppy bottom?

Probably not as often as I deserve. Anyway, don't mind me, I'm having a bad day.

But still, in all seriousness it is the worst TV show I've ever seen. Genuinely. If was in a better mood I'd have kept it myself, but the opinion would still be there. :tehe:

I would love to know what it is you like about it though, if you feel like it.
