Lost in space bores me. I download it, try to watch it, but end up playing games instead.

I like Black Lightning and was disappointed to find out it was only a 13 episode S1. It's different enough from the overdone superhero crap to keep it interesting.

Billions S3 is awesome.

We keep watching LIS.

Mostly because we can't decide whether to put it before or after Arrow on our list of worst tv series. On the pro side there are more sets and visuals and talking about ones feelings doesn't completely swamp everything else, but on the con side the acting and dialogue, well, we would really like there to be some.

We suffer for their art.

Supergirl is worse than both. Arrow went downhill since S1. S1 was good, but then it just went lower and lower and now it's just crap. Still, Supergirl is worse. I stopped watching it about 6 months ago.

The Flash is still awesome though. The stories and the personalities are just more engaging.

I hate The Flash. I think it's the worst. They keep saying science words and putting them randomly into sentences.

I keep watching The Flash and then hating myself afterwards. It feels like watching Dawson's Creek or one of those US teen dramas. Every single problem is about "personal growth", largely between the two whiny leads who are in a "romantic" relationship with the least chemistry I've ever seen on a TV show in my life.

For some reason The Flash is also routinely defeated by enemies that couldn't even seen him coming as well. A few weeks ago he was so fast he could spend a full hour trying to disarm an already exploding nuclear bomb, then the next week an ordinary human with no ability to react at super speed will defeat him. Nine times out of ten that's because he runs into the room where the enemy is, then stops to have a chat.

They've even stooped to the super worn out cliche of him having a "no kill" code that he uses to justify letting a supervillian murder 12 innocent people.

Despite all that Supergirl was worse though, 3 episodes when it was brand new was more than I could take.

This is the worst, but it affects all the superhero tv series and movies. There is zero consistency, and the hero is always fantastically stupid.

Blood Diamonds an excellent Belgian crime drama currently on BBC 4 on Saturdays

Also new series of The Bridge starting on BBC 2 on one of the next two Fridays

So three cheers for the BBC and Belgium and Denmark and Sweden for them

Also a big up to France for giving us Spiral which has sadly just finished

No a 7th season is planned.

ETA : it started shooting in January this year, and should last 7 months (the shooting, not the show :) ). This 7th season is supposed to be the last one, but the creators are thinking about a way to keep it going.

Driving home after seeing the Avengers last night and my son is picking apart various inconsistencies with superheroes that drive him nuts. He too felt The Flash was the most egregious. It reminded me of my father's biggest superhero pet peeve courtesy of George Reeve's Superman who despite being billed as "faster than a speeding bullet" would stand there and take six shots to the chest but then duck out of the way when the bad guy throws the gun at him.
