I'm trying to watch Lost In Space (the new one, on Netflix)... really trying. It seems overly dramatic. Looks cool, though. Does water freeze from the bottom up? They seem to crash on a very convenient planet: breathable atmosphere and Earth-like gravity. What are the chances? The flashbacks are a bit boring. Lots of talking. Lots of it. Talky-talk talk. Anyway, back to trying...

And skip all the huffing, hands-on-side, arms crossed beneath breasts etc, etc.

We here were shocked by the number of "things" that just seem to pop out of nowhere - quite disconcerting but will probably watch further episodes in time... :dunno:

Speaking of popping out of nowhere, I feel like there's a lot of deus ex machina.

All righty, I don't care for the family at all, but things are starting to look interesting, thanks to crazy woman and saboteur (June Harris, played by Parker Posey).

April 22nd. It's going to be a long week.

Managing to... get... through... Lost In Space. It's... all right.

ETA

Just finished season 1. So many things happen just in the nick of time, or just in time to conveniently continue the plot. My suspension of disbelief could hold up the Golden Gate Bridge after these last few episodes.

I loved Lost in Space. Thought it was fun and funny. Most characters are genuinely endearing. Enough intrigue too. Looking forward to s2

Admittedly, that ending makes me want to watch the next season. (The bastards.)

Watched the first episode of Lost In Space.

I'm arguing physics with my TV and I don't think it's getting through. I'll try and hang in there for another episode but it seems like this will be a tough journey.

This is really good series. Colour helps but the whole tale is well done and learned a few things. On Netflix.

Watched part the second last night and it hasn't improved much in the sciencey bits - I'm thinking specifically of the physical geography of the sets and how the plot line mixes the locations to daftness. Any further "tough journeying" into this and Bear Grylls better be careful around me. The character's energy costs so far have been restored with one pack of Oreos!
