That's basically Pitch Black again but this time it shows the bits we didn't see in between the frames. Y'know like - Riddick goes for a shit. Creatures lounge around waiting for nightfall. Riddick finds ingenious way to scratch his balls while chained up.... And so forth.

This is brilliance from me.

Sorry. Just watching Chronicles for the first time in years and seeing what I said back then because now....

Man, you are going stir crazy. You been quoting yourself some lately, that's like talking to folk about yourself, in the third person.

Interesting thread of an idea, bludgeoned to death, as usual, by hacks. Another future dumdum cult favorite, if covid doesn’t intervene.

Oh my god, I love Jared Harris!
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

This writing doesn't appeal to me, but... Lovecraftian (from ~1:10 in the trailer).

If the editing & sound engineering is how it seems in the trailer... I'm horny for this.

And I'm shocked by how compelling & fun this seems. America Texas you do still fascinate.

Maybe Apple TV+ is for real after all. If the Foundation series holds its own, I may actually have to re-up when my free year runs out.

The fact that Greyhound is straight to streaming is a red flag for me. It means that the studio have not considered it worthy of being put forward for the Oscars.

Apparently, Sony had plans for early June release, and then mid-June, and covid fucked things up, and they sold it to Apple. Idk that anyone has reported on other things that may have kept Sony from postponing it to 2021 like they have with other movies (such as contractual obligations maybe?). The two I'm aware of that were pushed were Morbius and Ghostbusters reboot. Those are genre films, ergo bankable even if they are shit (in Sony's thinking). I think a cash analysis is probably not a reliable gauge of quality, with these guys - and Apple has the beaucoup bucks. Hopefully this is a sleeper. I'll let you know in about a week. :)

Looks promising. If it wasn't going to be Affleck, Pattinson's a solid pick. Hopefully the Catwoman fight choreography isn't a bad omen.

The Batman (2021?)

Isn't that Nick Offerman at 0:54? Yet I don't see him in the cast credits.

I figured out, that was Alex Ferns as Commissioner Pete Savage (whoever that is... I guess Gordon will take over from him?).

The writers (credited and uncredited) don’t inspire confidence, nor do the director’s 2 Apes movies (War is ok, I guess), though Let Me In and Cloverfield before that were solid. Here’s rooting for the sound crew & editing.

Ehhhhhhhhh... meh. Close enough. I must've seen Alex Ferns in Chernobyl... apparently he's best known from EastEnders. I used to watch that randomly when I was a tyke. I don't remember anything about it except for the character Dot.

Spooky pattern match on the beards, though.
