Jimmy Chin’s documentary on scaling the Shark’s Fin may be the best climbing movie of the year—only it’s not really about the climb.

Thanks - good review ...one of the the most incredible part of the movie is about the 3rd climber...and I'm not telling.

Rogue One

Very good, IMO. Perhaps the best Star Wars movie since Empire Strikes Back. Certainly way better than Force Awakens or any of the prequel trilogy.
I give Rogue One 8/10

I also finally watched Life of PI, which was slow getting going, but I enjoyed it a lot after the beginning. A few scenes were confusing, the night scenes.

Rogue One was watchable indeed, unlike Guardians of Galaxy 2 I just seen. Poor attempt at comedy. And the fucking Groot was supposed to be cute? I am Groot. Fuck you then.

Sooo happy I did not see this:

Halfway through watching Batman and Harley Quinn.

Like the return to the old animation style, with some obvious update in color and effects. They haven't gotten lazy and screwed it up, like they did with Dragon Ball Super.

Solid voice-acting, as always. Even liked the signing. And I usually can't stand that.

More adult themes and blood. Also good to see it all mixed with the old animation style. Fair bit of fan-service, too.

The only annoying thing was that even after they included Kathy Kane, in the last movies, as an LGBT character, instead of going for just a little Harley/Ivy, not even a pairing, just a little touching upon their relationship (in the comics, Ivy friggin' crashes Joker and Ivy's wedding) they had to, again, push one of the guys together with the girl. Yuck. Fucking boring. :yuk:

It's just a bloody film. Tastes vary.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Jennifer -

Nicely paced British film based on Baba Yaga folklore. Nothing especially new here, but it has some effective moments, and there is a strand around difficult parent-child relationships, as in The Babadook .

The whole trailer I'm like, "Is that Starbuck? That looks like Starbuck. That can't be Starbuck." And then I checked and it's Starbuck. :awesome:

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you're referring to Galactica rather than Dick.
