That's the accidental humour I mentioned. Vasectomy - Freud's castration complex.

I must have completely missed that part of your post for some reason.

Repression!

The funny bits, as you undoubtedly know, are that a) vasectomy is not castration, b) Freud's castration complex is bullshit only exceeded in bullshittyness by his concept of penis envy and c) regardless of all that, a lot of morons, almost all of them males, equate vasectomy with quasi-castration, or at least as some degree of loss of manhood.

Indeed.

This is a dark and complex world. To traverse it safely, you will require a guide who is well versed in the lore. My advice to you is to avoid it entirely and live to fight another day.

How very British your ceiling is.

Classic Artex swirl pattern.

Do you think there's a formal study process to achieve that masterful swirl? Are they graded on the motions of their wrists?

There is a web page that one can study. I estimate that a 180 90-degree rotation and a brisk, clean lift-off can achieve decent results. Grading could be split into two parts: wrist motion and final swirl aesthetic. Of course, this is open to some degree of subjectivity.

I remember one ceiling where the stippling had such long points that they had a tendency to break off. There were also edges so sharp that an injury could be incurred by running one's hand along them. Being tall can be dangerous in such situations.

My vasectomy was not cosmetic surgery, so this photo is OK. (The bruise is nowhere near as dramatic as it looks and the background is accidental humour. :))

[Reveal] Spoiler: NSFW

I put it in a NSFW spoiler in case some forum members look at this forum while surrounded by overly puritan work colleagues. Citizens of the US seem to be particularly afflicted by the Puritan virus. The pic caused ripples for years at Mindromp when I posted it there, almost exclusively among US members. Photobucket certainly had no objection. The pic lived there from 2007 until I deleted all my photos from it in 2017 when the company committed suicide by subscription charge.

I didn't click on it aban, 2 girls 1 cup taught me that much. Yes, it was transphobic in a way what I said in that first comment, as it was quite directed at YOU, rather than IT, and for that I apologise. Know that I mean you no ill and wish you all the best.

That makes it sound like you couldn't see the picture in the post, so you went and searched for a penis picture to look at at work!

Thanks, I appreciate. It's become more and more rare here to see people acknowledge their mistakes, so kuddos to you. I hope you're not just being politically correct, and educated yourself on the causes of this issue.

Don't worry about that aban, most round here would be unlikely to describe me as being prone to pandering to PC culture. I also will refer to you in the female pronoun from here on out. An undertaking. All the best darlin'
