I think we're lucky that way, he was at 40 seats in the polls at the height of the refugee influx. If that begins again, Wilders's numbers will rise quickly.

No I dont think so Arjan. Crisis is past and new one would be seen in different light. Wilders is finished.

I wish I could say I believe that, but Wilders has been down in the polls before and come back. All it would take is refugee stream starting up again, or some kind of terrorist attack.

Somebody else will take over from him undoubtedly but he has been around a bit too long now. He is outwearing his stay.
This was his last chance and failed.

Fear of foreigners coming to OUR .. countries, threatening our security, well-being and culture is not going to go away anytime soon.

Indeed. Arjan Dirkse said .. If that begins again. The other more civilised ways of addressing the problem revolve around not beginning it again, namely protecting the EU borders, possibly letting <insert number> to drown ;)
