This is a tweet showing attendees yawning. https://twitter.com/i/status/1274512067119116289 I feel bad for the little kids there. I know the parents think it's a force for good, but why would you take small children there? You know it's going to be an emotionally charged atmosphere with the protests expected near the venue. The risk of physical confrontations was high. That's not even taking into account Covid19. :picard:

What’s Moscow Mitch been doing during all of this?

ETA He appears to be having some sleepless nights.

Mitch McConnell Video Urges Republicans to "Step Up" for Cory Gardner
take away our majority. We have to stop him.”

The video concludes with a request to “chip in” to Gardner’s campaign and “defend the Senate majority.”

Saw footage of him returning to the White House at night, tie undone and actually looking broken and miserable. Very much like his expression at Helsinki.
For a second or two I actually felt a shred of pity but then I remembered everything he has said and done as president as well as beforehand. I also remember most functional humans are capable of empathy but he is not. He is a wretched broken destructive creature that should be removed from office then in some way institutionalised, the issue of apparent mental decline notwithstanding he's always been a racist and a grifter and should answer for it.

The 47.8% to 41.4% drop is astonishingly small considering the madness of the last four years.

True. Worse than that, Trump's average approval rating was lower in the first year of his presidency than the period from February 2018 to yesterday. At the end of last March it peaked at 45.8%. I think the recent drop was caused by the spike in the unemployment rate since all those isolation measures were introduced to slow the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. It's why all the conservatives are so desperate to declare the emergency over and get the economy back up on its feet before it undermines their election campaigns.

I think Trump was not far off the truth in January 2016 when he said: "...I have the most loyal people ... I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters."

Can anyone help me find the link to Adolf Hitler's official Youtube channel with his full speeches? More often than not excerpts, such as this one, are taken out of context and intentionally make him look like an somewhat unpleasant person advocating policies that are a tad on the nose. I'm beginning to suspect that I may not properly understand what he really is about unless I have listened to everything he has said.

I tried reading the book in which he has explained his policy, but it must be aimed at people smarter than me. At least I think that is the reason I cannot understand it.
