Election is over

Sorry for the OT again, but I just wanted to post what the sign reads currently, like I said I would.OlivierK wrote:The_Piper wrote:That's a different sign that you posted, which comes a little before the exit. The one I posted is right at the exit, and is an old picture. At least, it doesn't say "old exit 62" at that spot any more. I don't remember if it ever said Aroostook county or not, or still does, but that's the county it's in, and route 1 is the main drag to get to the rest of Aroostook county heading north from that point.
The exits are numbered by the mile marker nearest to them, which is very convenient.
I know it's a different sign, but in the image you found, the photoshopping is blatant (the text aligns to the image, not the sign), not to mention the font's wrong, and road signs don't generally point to counties, or include state names or punctuation. On top of all that, there's an oddly smudged background section exactly the size that "Presque Isle" would be in the sign's real font.
(Not that it's important at all, it was more that the blatant photoshopping got me curious about what the sign likely said, so I did some digging )

How the hell has this sleazy bastard avoided jail all this time, despite having fucked over the legal system for decades?
If anything, Comey's characterisation of Trump as being akin to a Mafia boss is a fucking understatement, on the basis of this.

OlivierK wrote:During the campaign, it was striking how much Trump used the same tactic of smearing his opponent with his own flaws. When he sniffed through a debate, he went on the attack over Hillary's stamina and suggested she be drug tested, when his misogyny was exposed, he attacked Hillary for Bill's treatment of women, when his own corruption was debated, he launched the "Crooked Hillary" nickname. The strategy goes like this: My faults are A, B, C, and D, and I know that I'll be called out on them which will be an electoral liability, so I'll accuse my opponent of A, B, C, and D, and at least in the minds of people not paying attention, it'll look like a wash. If I attack harder, I might even look like the good guy. It's Trump's number one weapon, and looking at what he's attacking people on is a good guide to what's troubling what passes for his own conscience.

“As you know, I will be meeting with Kim Jong-un in the coming weeks to discuss the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula,” the US president told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. “Hopefully that meeting will be a great success and we’re looking forward to it.”
