It never snows (or even gets cold, really) in the PNW and the climate is far more uncomfortable here than interior BC or Edmonton. It rains most of the year and it's always humid, which makes warm summer insufferable.
It gets both hotter and colder in the interior but it's always dry. You don't feel the cold unless you aren't wearing layers outdoors. Layers won't do shit for you in the PNW. It's not cold enough for snow to stay frozen so you're always soaked, which makes you feel cold. The rest of the year it rains. The hot, hot summers of the interior can be tough if you don't have A/C. If you do and you've got a source of running water outdoors you're fine. When I got too hot outdoors, I'd just submerge myself in the river the house backed onto. On the coast, the humidity makes the heat insufferable. It's hard to cool off when you're always greasy and wet.
I do very poorly in rain forests, temperate or tropical. The constant wetness is just so awful. I always feel like I weigh 400lbs in this climate. I also breath better in the dryer climates, year round. I will put up with months of snow any damn day if it means less humidity.
what a terrible image
