It is hypocritical to cry racism over the Serena cartoon and then in the very next breath, do what would be tantamount to, what do we call it, "transgenderism?" It's lazy thinking. Anytime you generalize any group, you run the very real risk of being dismissive of those in the group to whom the generalizations do not apply. IMO, that is about the furthest thing from "rational" that I can imagine, omission of data in drawing conclusions.

BTW, I'm not trolling you. I am trying to make the point (for others besides yourself) that it's real easy to claim sexism where I don't think it was intended. I hope you don't mind me using you to make that point (or try in any case. I believe that is the case for the Serena cartoon. As with all art, it is purely subjective. We might as well argue whether or not Mapplethorpe was a peddler of porn.

I suppose it's how one defines racism. If feeling hurt or insulted is all that's required to qualify a remark for "racism," then I stand corrected. I always thought racism was about the belief that one race was superior to another and then treat all of them as if they're all the same (discrimination). Maybe I'm wrong.

To me, the phrase "White people feel like..." is mother fucking racist... I'm white. It doesn't hurt me in the slightest. But it does discriminate... people with white skin do this or that. White men can't jump isn't racist because it has the virtue of truth?

KiR... Look up Mapplethorpe. His art was at the center of a US legal debate a couple decades back on what constitutes art and what is just gratuitous obscenity. He won... just because you don't like it, just because it's provocative, just because you don't "get it", doesn't mean it's not art.

Well I guess I think a lot of formulaic DnB isn't art so blabla bla on semantics we go. I just personally don't like that piece being referred to as art.
