It's not the first time I've attempted it. This time I thought I would just ask.

At least I'm not alone. ;)

OK, I don't get it. I've tried looking, really I have. How do I fix this to post a youtube video in this forum. :sorry:

I've gone to successfully posted videos and then hit the reply button to those posts.

Then I can see how they've done it.

I took that formula and saved it:

After the equal sign I put the actual address of the video from YouTube.

Looks like yours has 'https' instead of 'http' at the beginning, which isn't kosher, and the word 'youtube' you're using has a period or dot interrupting its flow, and some other things that don't look right.

The bit in bold I have above is the formula that works for me:

I just put your video address r2GyS6WFAaA after the equal sign in the formula I found.

Thank you proudfootz for your assistance!

Your advice worked and I was able to repair my link on the previous page. This may invoke nightmares from my attempts to fix programs in COBOL and FORTRAN with those damn punch cards. I thought we had advanced from those days.

Bookmarked for future reference.

Youtube gives you links in different formats on different devices but the youtube-id is the important bit. For posting here follow the simple formula:

http (no 's') + :// + www. + youtube. + com/ + watch? + v= + youtube-id

You can remember this with a handy mnemonic.

HWYCWV.

How Will You Comment With Video? Youtube-ID.

Yeah, I know. Way too much tmi there. :nerd:

Strangers on a train: GO riders unite to help Syrian family get to their destination
Some 50 people came together to 'do the right thing'
By Shanifa Nasser, CBC News Posted: Jul 22, 2016 7:58 PM ET Last Updated: Jul 23, 2016 12:49 PM ET

When Valerie Taylor spotted a family of newcomers looking lost in the hustle and bustle of rush hour at Toronto's main Union Station on Wednesday, she offered to help them find their train. What she didn't know was that some 50 people would do the same, on a day that would turn out to be one of her most memorable trips home ever.

Public reaction has been overwhelmingly positive in both Norway and Finland, with the only objection so far coming from the indigenous Sami community, whose reindeer roam freely across the border and who argue that the land should belong to neither country.

Damn fucking right. Drawing fucking imaginary lines .. oh wait, this is good thread, oh well.
