Any chance you're going to fucking stop the fucking lying any time fucking soon?

How about answering the question about how you would talk down the driver of a truck speeding toward a crowd of people.

Do even you know what you're talking about?
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

1. What speed is the truck doing?

2. How far away from the crowd is it?

3. Is the driver's side window open or closed?

4. What has this scenario got to do with how I might bring up my kids?

It doesn't have to do with your kids - it has to do with Scot Dutchy's assertion that talking is always a solution to problems, that violence is never necessary, and that by talking to a violent person you can both stop their violence and refrain from using violence yourself.

As to details of the scenario - well, pick any of the truck-into-crowd incidents in Europe recently and draw conclusions from them.

I'm quite sure there were a lot of people shouting at those drivers.

Really? Like the kinetic strikes we carried out against Iran to get them to stop their nuclear program?

Oh, wait - we didn't use any kinetic strikes there - we TALKED to them, and got them to sign a treaty.

Or maybe you refer to "hit first" as if that's common. Like in Kosovo, or Bosnia, or Afghanistan, or the Gulf War - all cases where I am just SURE you can show that the US engaged in the first use of violence, and for no reason whatsoever.

I'll wait. Take your time.

Fucking clueless, bigoted, lying troll.

Ok. I thought it was more to do with the OP, as in, going towards a suggestion that the general populace (ie my kids when they reach adulthood) should be allowed or encouraged to carry arms so that they could maybe try to do something to intervene during such truck incidents.

Depends on the situation. If there's no hope that adult intervention can remedy the situation, or if ignoring the bullies for a long time doesn't seem to work, I would, in fact, instruct my kid to beat the shit out of the largest, or instigating bully. The first guy to "start it" the next day gets a beatdown. Rinse and repeat till they've all learned their lesson.

It works.

Where was the insult in Thommo's post?

And could you please stop lying and misrepresenting what Weaver has said in his posts.

Is this relevant? No.

Asking you to stop lying and misrepresenting Weaver's posts is, however, very relevant. And you don't need to be a mod to make that request.

Or are you going down the childish route of refusing to listen to anyone who isn't a mod?
