So only those who are too intelligent for their own good can calculate whether someone is too intelligent for their own good...but that means that...ARGH! I'm caught in an intellectual loop of my own making!
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Hoist with my own petard...

Universities are mainly sheltered workshops for people who are too intelligent for their own good.

Big lulz.

Tell you what. Go up to those weird egg-heads in the Universities who developed every medicine and technical gadget you ever used

check your history and you'll notice that the large majority of these things are actually invented by tinkerers in garages or by commercial enterprises.

I'm not saying that nothing of value happens inside universities, but still their core business consists of publishing papers that nobody ever reads, and counting citations.

and which enabled you, your family and friends, etc. to lead the life you live and tell them that. Please do.

I thought their core business was education.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.

:what: Are you quite sure? Do you really want some examples on why exactly you are talking arse-gravy or do you prefer to pull that foot out of your mouth yourself?

Don't get me wrong. There is a lot left to be desired from the University system, but judging from your posts on the matter you know fuck all about said problems, so I don't really feel like taking you seriously.
