Eduard wrote:Yeah, but D3 has 3 years' worth of hype to live up to (kinda like Starcraft 2). I was disappointed in SC2 - it's a great game, but I wanted more after waiting 12/13 years for a sequal. Same issue with D3, except that I love Diablo2 so if they screw it up I will be eternally disappointed in Blizzard.

I learned long ago not to pay any attention whatsoever to advertising. I know that D3 is coming out this year, and that's about it.

For me, D2 was one of the best games ever for sheer playability. It's the kind of game you can load up for 10 minutes and get something done, or waste an evening till the wee hours of the morning on.

Generally I like long drawn out turn based strategy games, so this is a big departure for me, but D3 is the only one of this genre I can say I genuinely loved... I still play D2 every now and then even today!

Eduard wrote:Just to put it out there, does anyone also hate the storylines of Blizzard games? :ask:

Storylines? Meh... as long as they don't get in the way of creaming screen fulls of monsters with satisfying whacks and screen-trembles, I don't mind!

mraltair wrote:NV is basically just FO3 in a desert. That doesn't mean it's not a good game because FO3 was awesome. NV is less apocolyptical, I still haven't finished the final battle on any of my saves, I get to it and then can't be bothered so start a new character.

Still want Skyrim the most, and whenever they bring out Assassin's Creed 3. I would buy that without seeing any reviews or screenshots beforehand. I'm that confident.

If by Assassin's Creed 3 you mean Brotherhood http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_in_video_gaming

It's coming out on 22 February, for the PC.

If it's any harder I might consider renting AC Brotherhood. I thought 2 was far too easy. I didn't die once. And that made me sad.

Nope, got and completed that on the 360. Fucking awesome game!

Took ages to get it to the PC, that's terrible.

I mean the next main game, which won't be out till at least 2012. Setting has been guessed as Egypt and elsewhere it's been guessed as 18th century France because of the ending to Brotherhood, which is where I stop talking.

There was a poll on Facebook, or wherever, on where should the final installment take place. I cannot believe how many people DID NOT choose Feudal Japan. :nono:

That would be cool, but that would be another ninja game, I like that AC is set in times that have hardly ever been played before. An age without guns, or very little like AC:B, is best for AC I think anyway.

Eduard wrote:If you play Diablo 2 enough you want to kill Deckard Cain as well (talk about longevity, they really could've killed his long-winded Horadric ass in LoD's ending just to tie up loose ends).

If you're bored with the dialogue in D2, you can simply click the text boxes and stop any NPC in mid-monologue. After playing it through numerous times, I agree, you don't want to listen to most/any of the story as told through the NPCs.

I think I already posted it here already, but bring on D3! Without destroying the franchise, please.

Adding L.A. Noire.
Everything's all loopty-loops and flibertyjibit.

I think I know all the dialogues by heart anyway!

Well, I'll be! At least the player character speaks now!

The duel wielding animation at the start looks mmmmmmhhhh, YEAH!....as usual. 8-)

And the female version of the player character looks good, too. Very good, in fact. Me like. Me try.

I see the Hero of Kirkwall appears to be able to wield a two-handed sword almost the same size as her as if it were a toothpick.
