It's not fake. Far Cry 4 just got a release date of November 18th. It's all over the webs. Can't link from this device.

It does look a lot like the publisher thought that the crazy dude with the funny hair (Vaas?) in Farcry 3 was really popular and they wanted another one of those in the fourth installment, though.

Also, no props for the Messner-Yeti joke? You fucking heathens. :nono:

I know it isn't fake, I said the art looks fake. But I wont care how shitty the box art looks if it is a kick ass game like the last couple of Far Cry's have been.

I hope they forego the multiplayer on the next one. Or at least make it fantastic. Can't stand half-arsed.

The joke?

Reinhold Messner, friend of the Dalai Lama and Austrian mountaineer, also crazy person, is a dude who climbed the P2, Mount Everest and all that sort of stuff. He's also very present on TV and claims with steadfast conviction that he met and is friends with the Yeti.

No, that was Heinrich Harrer, also an Austrian mountaineer and friend of the Dalai Lama, but not crazy. Only a Nazi sympathiser.

Some might argue that being a Nazi sympathiser is worse than thinking you met the yeti when it comes to crazy.

Vaas helped make Far Cry 3 good, he was a good bad guy and really got the player to want to murder the guy. A lot of people did really like him in that regard, Far Cry 4 will no doubt try and pull off the same magic with their crazy mountain king, we will have to wait and see if they can do it again.

If I buy Transistor next Tuesday I'll have to hold off Watch Dogs for a week.

I might just do that.

Ani, how do you get both the money to buy and the time to play so many games?

I only play games about two or three hours a night. I'm on a back to education allowance for college and have to squirrell away money to get the games I want. I'm finished in a couple of weeks, once I'm up working again I probably won't have as much time any more.

My dream is to get a part time job that pays just well enough that I can spend the rest of my time playing games. :D

DarthHelmet86 wrote:That cover looks fake as shit, like something you would find on a website made by fans. Still I liked Far Cry 2 and 3, 3 was a really good game that fixed a lot of my problems with 2. Not to mention how good Blood Dragon was, that game tickled all my bone.

I think 2 was far better than 3. 2 had it's problems - such as the ever-regenerating outpost baddies and the meaningless malaria infection but I found it a much more enjoyable game than the third instalment. I was very aware I was playing a game with objectives when I played it through. With Farcry 2 it felt like I was wandering around Africa starting fires.
