Started playing GOW yesterday. Beautiful as hell, but the maniability is perfectible IMO. Also, the progression system is weird, linking the new abilities to your stats. I don't like it.
And the texts in the menu are wall too small, can't see a thing, despite my pretty good vision. I had the same problem with Ni No Kuni 2.

There should be an option to change text size.

took me a while to get used to the progression but got quite into it once it clicked...just slightly different to the norm...

currently wading through hellblade and loving it...continues the gow atmosphere nicely...

jeez....just finished hellblade and what a bloody intense game that was...fab to look at, combat just on the right side of tricky for my aging fingers, great atmosphere and story...

can't wait to see what nt come up with next...

anyway, a few things to choose from now, including a jolly romp through the devil may crys again...or possibly the bioshocks...or....or.....far too little time for too much gaming...

Still having a blast with the two GBA Fire Emblem games. The plot and characters are atrocious, fortunately you can just ignore it, play the game and look at the pretty art. I hated the permadeath thing at first, but it would probably be way too easy without. Permadeath is a constant battle between efficiency and caution.

Assassin's Creed Origins is an unholy grindfest. Underlevelled for the next story mission? No bother, just do a few side missions. Scours mission list, nothing. Check map, check map, check map. Oh there's a mission miles away three levels below me so it's going to give low XP now. And I didn't unlock fast travel in that area so there's going to be a walk. OK now I'm level 25 which is only two below the reccomended level, just need to upgrade my weapons at the blacksmith. That's all the money that have gone. Ok almost ready, just need to upgrade the hidden blade because it's only working on the mooks right now. Just need to farm 10 more iron. Or you could just buy just about everything from the Ubisoft store to bipass an entire evening's faffing about and still not reaching the next story mission. Is that what the constantion suggestion to check out the Ubisoft store in the hints of the stupidly long load screens was about?

Still on GOW. This game definitely doesn't deserve a 10/10. It looks awesome (especially on PS4 Pro), has a great story, and tells it pretty well. However, those tricks to increase the game's lifetime shouldn't be used in a game today. The constant returns to places you already visited are a very obvious way to save development time, reusing the same parts. Even if they did find a nice way to justify it through the scenario. And don't get me started on these obscene amonts of mist you have to gather in Niflheim.

i agree - definitely not 10/10 nor game of the generation...absolutely brilliant in parts but the pacing is all over the place...

Wow! GoW is now 5 weeks at No. 1. That's unprecedented for an exclusive.

Just looking at releases. Massive gaming lull this Summer. Besides Pixel Junk Monsters 2 I see nothing I want 'til September.

I can hopefully remove some backlog.
