How much time does the average Christian spend spontaneously denouncing people who bomb abortion clinics in other countries?

Possibly the average Christian feels no more responsible for such actions by others than the average Muslim feels responsible for other people's extremism.
I don't do sarcasm smileys, but someone as bright as you has probably figured that out already.

Exactly Angelo. The extremists can't survive without the moderates but you must not say that here. :silenced:

Islam teaches that the koran is sent down by allah. The koran actually teaches muslims to kill infidels wherever they find them.
Yes, there's much violance in the babble, but there's a new testament which superimposes the old and it teaches peace.
Xtianity has had a reformation, even the pope has stated that evolution is fact, and that god is no magician. Were a muslim cleric to say that he would be be-headed or stoned to death, or at the very least, a fatwa placed upon him.
Speaking of avarage muslims, who was it that was dancing in the streets in the middle east on 9/11 ?

That spectacle will live with me forever.

BBC NEWS

The man responsible for the Vatican's finances says he has found millions of Euros "tucked away" off balance sheets.

Cardinal George Pell, who heads the Vatican's Secretariat for the Economy, said it meant the Holy See's finances were better than expected

Oh good, just in time to give it all away to the poor children of the world, at Crimbletime. Like Jebus would have done.

"It is important to point out that the Vatican is not broke," Cardinal Pell wrote.

Indeed, so... the children, right?

Cardinal Pell said the reforms were "well underway and already past the point where the Vatican could return to the 'bad old days'".

Ah, fuck 'em then, yeah?

Exactly what came to mind this morning when I read it in the paper. Their new minister of finance is an Aussie ex bishop who covered up child abuse under his stewardship at various locations.

I would imagine the pope's advisor's recommending against as it would offend China.

angelo wrote:Islam teaches that the koran is sent down by allah. The koran actually teaches muslims to kill infidels wherever they find them.

Citation in context please?
Btw Jesus says this about infidels:
Matthew 12:30
"Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters."

angelo wrote:Yes, there's much violance in the babble, but there's a new testament which superimposes the old and it teaches peace.

It really doesn't.
It teaches parents to kill disobedient children.
It teaches people to abandon their family for Jesus.
It teaches Jesus came to bring the sword, not peace.
It's not a book about peace.

angelo wrote:Xtianity has had a reformation, even the pope has stated that evolution is fact, and that god is no magician. Were a muslim cleric to say that he would be be-headed or stoned to death, or at the very least, a fatwa placed upon him.

Yep, because a small part of the worldwide population of muslims is completely representative.
By this logic, all Catholics are pedophiles.

Civilisation had a reformation. Christianity has been dragged along kicking and screaming and has initially opposed just about every advance; it continues to do so.

Sadly, our Catholic Church is an over damped system. Adopting the notion of irreformable ideas tends to act on a brake on progress. Please excuse us while we are under renovation - this may take a while.

At least this pope and others before him admit evolution is a fact, only that god somehow "did it."

The grand mufti or whoever is the big honcho in islam clings to a belief that evolution is a Western conspiracy to undermine islam.

You're mistakenly confusing Islam with Catholicism.
Islam doesn't have a pope.
Sure, there are (multiple) people, claiming to have that role, but it's not a commonly accepted position among the worldwide population.
