I suppose that if you'd never watched any of the original series you weren't in a position to know that it was essentially galactic Power Rangers.

It's on BBCi player.
So any of you wankingtons watching it? Clever stuff from Elton. Good cast but I particularly like Mark Heap as Robert Greene.

Watched the first episode of the new one, I thought the animation was great and liked most of the characters (except for the big one, trying way too hard), but I couldn't find anything interesting about the plot. Then again, Power Rangers also bored me to tears.

Dunno, I expect more from the folks that did Avatar and Korra. But I'll keep watching, really want to like this show.

Well, in Korra, Bolin's character was clearly supposed to be their version of Sokka and most of the attempted humor was clearly aimed at a young audience and was mostly cringe-worthy. However, anyone else who had some humorous scene pulled it off well enough.
