This looks like it might be quite enjoyable. It's set in the 1980s and even has the "look" of such '80s classics as E.T. and Poltergeist. Some nostalgia, then, for those old enough.
Starring Winona Ryder.
Starts next month (July 2016)

YouTube synopsis:
A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80's, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.

She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.

I love it! Written and made by the same people who worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra.

I have the show on my hard drive, but haven't watched it yet. And yeah, I'm a big fan of Louie CK :)
Unfortunately the show ended, hopefully he will come back to Louie.

Just started the new season of OITNB. I'll surface again in a few days. Good luck, everyone.

Started watching Modern Family again.

Still really enjoying Preacher. I was almost ready to quit at the opening scene of yesterday's episode, which looked like it was about to introduce a "baddies of the week" and turn this show into episodic nonsense about a guy with the voice of God going on his regularly scheduled adventures in Texas. I wonder if that feint was intended?

Custer's action at the end of the show are really morally ambiguous, and I don't really know what to think.
Here we go again. First, we discover recursion.

Oh boy. I found my post season GOT withdrawal relief coming to HBO in October. I'm as giddy as I was when I saw the original.

That looks really good. Is that based on the Crichton Westworld books?

Yes. I never read the books so not sure how closely the original movie followed them, but this new series looks like it touches on much deeper moral issues and will have a lot more depth.

Briton wrote:Watched Upstart Crow earlier. Another Ben Elton historical sitcom, this time based on real characters, Shakespeare and co. David Mitchell plays WS. Thought the first episode was very good, lots of jokes based on Will's over use of flowery language.
It's on BBCi player.

So any of you wankingtons watching it? Clever stuff from Elton. Good cast but I particularly like Mark Heap as Robert Greene.

Just started to watch this new Voltron: Legendary Defender series. Never saw any of the original, so I'm curious to know why it's such a big deal. Will see.

EDIT: *groan* The human-kids element is annoying. They kept it up in the Transformers series. Would've been far more interesting to keep the same set of humans, and see them grow, instead of befriending a different set of (in one aspect, ridiculously tech-savvy) humans children. :nono:

EDIT #2: Aaaannd....essentially galactic Power Rangers. Oh, well...I'll bear with it.
