Very, very, very fine musician. I heard him with Pat Metheny - twice. Each time was thrilling.

The_Metatron wrote:I had to euthanize my old dog just now. We got her in Hawaii from the animal shelter over 12 years ago, and she's travelled much of the world with us. She's always really been my dog, having little time or attention for my boys. She had a couple strokes in the last two days, and she was just loaded with mass cell cancer. This was never going to improve. There was no way I was going to suffer her to live her last days or weeks in pain and afraid.

She sure was a good dog. I'll miss her.

Hang on a fecking minute! How many "Fifth Beatles" Exist? When Brian Epstein died, the media headlines screamed "The fifth Beatle"?

The guy who left the band, replaced by Ringo Star was hailed as "The fifth Beatle"...How many "Fifth Beatles" are there? And what qualifies someone as being "The fifth"?

Shouldn't a list be drawn up? To avoid confusion in the future?

Keith Noel Emerson (2 November 1944 – 10 March 2016) was an English keyboardist and composer. He began his career as a member of the Keith Emerson Trio, John Brown's Bodies, Gary Farr and the T-Bones, The V.I.P.'s and P. P. Arnold's backing band The Nice. Emerson found his first commercial success with The Nice in the late 1960s, before becoming a founding member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP), one of the early supergroups, in 1970. Emerson, Lake & Palmer were critically and commercially successful through much of the 1970s, becoming one of the best-known progressive rock groups of the era.

WIKI

Keith Emerson shot himself in the head in what’s likely now a suicide investigation. The keyboardist and founder of Emerson, Lake & Palmer was found dead by his girlfriend on Thursday night in the couple’s Santa Monica, California house with a single bullet shot to the head.

The piano player had been depressed as a result of a nerve problem that affected his right hand and severely impaired his ability to play the keyboard. Still, he was slated to perform next week in Japan.
