This is great news.

I wouldn't mind volunteering some time for the podcast. Maybe I could help out in a future episode. I've been on several before, and worked on a few behind the scenes. I had even started recording interviews for a RDF podcast before the shit hit the fan.

If there's any way I can help, give me a shout!

Why are we not arranging anything? What is everyone doing next week?

I can tell you what I'm doing.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Still waiting for calls to my ad for some Oral English lessons. Would make better money than teaching in a school, and a hell of a lot faster. And with the second half of the school year kicking in, everyone will be preparing for school leaving exams and the like, so good period to get some clients.

But, I don't no how this works. I have a mic. But it depends on the topic and how is it arranged, through what server, how's it recorded...what what what?

You've been in the first Nats, so....

And besides, I feel inadequate, anyway. I'd like to just listen to others. :)

A mic is all that you need, Matt! We did it via Skype last time. I won't be able to take part but I'll be more than happy to arrange one.

Let's pick a topic.

Isn't that a tad complicated?

Like I said, no matter what the topic, I feel inadequate. My knowledge of things is somewhat above superficial. Not very well-read, either. :(

I used to be scientifically naive or so until two years ago, after which reading research papers began to change things. If you want a textbook on Molecular Biology I can PM you the link to a copy I've saved up on the interwebz.

I wouldn't mind seeing a topic on which some of the contrubutors have major disagreements. Though I would happily listen to anything. I would love to join in to any of the lighter topics, but I don't have a mic or skype.

Everyone knows almost the same amount of thing. It's the conversation on a specific topic by rational skeptics that we want to hear.

Skype is free. You can get a mic in India for about 100 bucks in India (which would be around 2-3 Australian Dollars, I think).

Well, I wouldn't exactly say the "same amount". Lots of folks hear know 10x more than me on a given topic.

We can all easily mop the floor with theistic arguments. But if I had to debate you or GenesisforLife, or Hack or Cali, or the Chairman...etc. I'd be way out of my league.

To the last topic which was alien life, wasn't it?, I could've probably contribute what we've all heard in articles, organism under layers of ice, bacteria that survive in space, and repeating Neil deGrasse Tyson's words and how that relates to any possibility of any alien life that might be out there. And that's it. Not much.
