Hi Angel !

When my wife and I worked in Riyadh, she spent some time in the IVF clinic there. One middle age guy we recall who brought in his wife was told that the reason she wasn't getting pregnant was that she hadn't reached puberty yet. Marriage of young teens was commonplace there, but we understood that they were to have reached puberty first before being considered a "woman".

Oh no, this guy was having sex with his pre-pubescent 12 year old wife and wondering why she wasn't getting pregnant. He didn't get the whole hormones and ovulation thing, so they explained to him that if she wasn't pregnant by the time she was old enough to see over the counter at the IVF reception, to bring her back. It was reminiscent of the "your child must be this tall to ride this rollercoaster" signs at theme parks.
