I have a bit of problem posting... sorted now.

monkeyboy,

Please ask a new, clear and straight question if you want. I already said many times that I do not answers question to which I have already responded. Its not easy for 1 of me to be replying to 20 atheists, all out to grill me. I always go back to my last reply and make sure the questions that follow it are convered in my next replies. I read your questions carefully. I try my answering the best I am able to. If you want to discuss any problem you have with the Supreme Book sent by God to Prophet Mohamed, then we agree to have a new seperate thread on this book. By the way, you called me a troll earlier. So bear that in mind.

I dont?

I dont know about other men.

Please, cheeries,

Dont drive so fast. I hate to see woman's blood all over the road.

i've followed the thread but i can't remember katja...

could you explain that in your own words please?

Sure, and I hope our lady boss "Darkchilde" dont slaughter me for this.

Our Global Moderator "starr" has already threatened me with execution. He thinks that when I answer your questions, I am acutally preaching my faith. I say that is not true. But he is the boss and I will listen to what he says. Its his house. He has the to tell me how to behave.

It was this post that had upset the boss; which was actually my reply to question by Olaudah Equiano:

islam/i-am-muslim-t632-770.html#p38314

Ok, let me state it clearly:

I dont want people to convert to Islam. I am simply answering Atheists' questions about my God Allah, His perfect book Quran and His final Messenger Prophet Mohamed, peace be upon him and his holy family. That is all I am doing. No preaching. No converting. I couldn't care less if you guys remained atheists all your life. I would still love you. You are a nice bunch on the whole. I know my views may be different from yours. If you top guys think any of my replies go against forum rules, then please edit it or delete it. Thanks.

Anyway, cheeries, to answer your question:

I was simply stating that men dont need women's permission. Girls are not incharge in the real world.

I don't live in the US. I live in Europe, in Greece.

I dont know what you guys get up to in Greece. But I hope its really greasy.

But does Greece treat women same as men? Have they achieved equality which women want?

"Go to my reply about dress?"

Don't remember that one. Can you answer once more please?

Sure.

I do not agree Agrippina who thinks that girls should be allowed to walk topless in shopping centers.

Do you agree with her?

How about Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran?

They are no worse than United States in abusing women's rights which you listed.

Hatred is a powerful emotion, and you want to harm other people, discriminate against them.

So what do I care if there are bad people in country X or country Y? I was talking about the Quran, not about certain political realities of this temporary world.

I'm more concerned with what Muslims are actually doing than what you think they should be doing.

Why would you be concerned with what other people may or may not be doing?

Because when they blow things up, stab people to death in cold blood, surborn murder, commit mayhem, commit arson, kidnap, behead, raze buildings, assault, batter and do other such things it really gets a tad tiresome...

michael^3 wrote:
The message of the Quran is that you should be concerned about your own behavior,

That does not appear to be the message taken by the vast majority of Muslims. If that were the case, then Muslims would not overwhelmingly reside in officially "Muslim" countries, where Islam is at a minimum given a preferred place under the law and often is imposed upon the community at large whether they like it or not. It's the very epitomy of being concerned with the behavior of others, rather than one's own behavior. If Muslims overwhelmingly would confine their silly religion to themselves - those who voluntarily choose to follow its precepts - the world would be a better place...

michael^3 wrote:

and not care too much about what other people do. I don't see what's so revolting, backward or stupid about this message. Yet here you are, rebuking a billion people.

I'm not rebuking a billion people. I'm rebuking Islam, and Muslims who are motivated by Islam to commit atrocious acts. I also do not agree that the message of Islam is to mind one's own behavior and not worry about what others are doing. Look at the worldwide uproar over what Danes were doing in Denmark when they published cartoons. Rather than mind their own business and behavior, Muslims apparently chose to riot, murder, commit arson, assault and batter people, and otherwise sought to impose their will upon others, all in the name of their silly religion.

michael^3 wrote:

Further, saying that there are many people who claim that they are Muslims but aren't doesn't tell me anything, and saying they should obey the Koran doesn't tell me anything. Some people say it says one thing, others say it says another. I've read it, and find it revolting, and I find that to follow the Koran is itself certainly not commendable. It's backward and stupid, and is a horrible moral guide.

michael^3 wrote:
Islam is an insult to human dignity.

Dude, this is all politics. I don't care about politics. Shit happens all over the globe, and the wicked prosper. What are you going to do about people who riot, murder, commit arson, assault and batter people? The Quran tells us not to care about this, but to be happy and grateful about the corn, the olive, the date and the grapes.
Happy the man who delights in God's law and meditates on it day and night.

It's OK. Ray does a cheeky little wink at the end of his posts to ladies, which is sufficient to win us all over.
She battled through in every kind of tribulation,
She revelled in adventure and imagination.
She never listened to no hater, liar,
Breaking boundaries and chasing fire.
Oh, my my! Oh my, she flies!

Then why are [we] told that all translations of the Quran are all more or less faulty compared to the Arabic version?

Something to do with the poetic nature of the Arabic wording not translating well into European languages which are perhaps more literal and matter-of-fact perhaps?

Well, its common sense that Shakespeare will lose its grandeur when rendered into double dutch.

Non-sequitur.

Double dutch is an expression based on a game where English was intentionally obfuscated so that people couldn't understand what they meant - normally for kids.

This simply doesn't fit your analogy at all.

Furthermore, European languages are complex, poetic and vibrant with different cultural traditions. Have you ever read any poetry of the languages you are dismissing so inarticulately?

Look beyond your Muslim cellar once in a while.

It's ironic that you used Shakespeare in your analogy too.

In the view of an atheist, a believer will either be a fundie extremist (if he takes all scripture literally) or a cherry picker (if he doesn't). Which means that you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

Typical muslim bigotry - perfect to see here as representative of modern Islam. I suggest retaining this post for future reference. I also have a Thai friend here with a Muslim boyfriend she's considering marrying - his family is demanding she convert. I can show her precisely what bullshit she'd be letting herself in for.

As for ray - if he's permitted to continue preaching this ignorant bigotry, I fail to understand why we can't politely tell him to 'fuck off'? That's really all it deserves.

Ray - I reckon some of us here might have a problem with this, as it sounds like the kind of thoroughly unpleasant sexism that even Bernard Manning in full flow would have been wary of resorting to. Please clarify what you mean by this, lest a report be sent to the mods.

Seems Ray's unaware of that Shakespeare he referred to:

Hath not a Jew eyes? Hath not a Jew hands, organs,
dimensions, senses, affections, passions; fed with
the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject
to the same diseases, heal'd by the same means,
warm'd and cool'd by the same winter and summer
as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed?
If you tickle us, do we not laugh? If you poison us,
do we not die? And if you wrong us, shall we not revenge?
If we are like you in the rest, we will resemble you in that.
If a Jew wrong a Christian, what is his humility?

Change as necessary to relevant religions, genders, or, in fact, just go straight for the combination of bigotry between nation, lack of religion, and gender rolled into one.

^^TBH, I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt. I don't report people to the mods lightly. Maybe he made a mistake in what he intended to write (tho I do doubt that a bit, frankly) In any case, if he thinks I - or anyone here - are being unreasonable in having an issue with what he wrote there, he has every chance to make his case.
