Just wish there was a table function. I spaced all those numbers out but it did not help.

PvdD 2 2-3 2-3

Nothing much moving. Wilders is having a lot trouble keeping people on his election list. A lot of comparison is now being made between the PVV and Fortuyn's party the LPF.

Utrecht has a very left of centre College made up PvdA/GL/D'66. The are going to ban all vehicles from the city centre just for starters.

Thanks once again.
Yes things are quite quiet. Wilders is still having problems with his election list. A coalition of CDA/VVD/PVV will never happen. It would go the way of the LPF/CDA/VVD coalition which lasted a matter of months. The LPF were aguing about the size of offices!
No things will really move in two weeks time unless a disaster strikes. I dont think even the muslims are bothered about Wilders.

VVD 30
PVV Wilders 18

Yes nothing much is changing. They call this period before an election the 'komkommer tijd' (cucumber time). In English they call the summertime the silly season which is the same. It is the period when nobody really pays any real attention as yet. We do not have the build up like in the states. The last two weeks is a mad house. It is also due that political parties election campaigns are paid by grants (relative of course to the present number of seats) from the government. They are not allowed to accept any contributions from third parties.
Which party brought its manifesto out in this time? The PVV of course. Slipping it through trying not get too much attention. This is after the fiasco in the local elections where the PVV did not join any college (the dutch name for body in charge of ruling the town council) in the town council.

Thanks again old friend. Yep it is going in the right direction.

Wilders has further problems in his court case. One of expert witness (on Arab culture and islam) has been disallowed. An expert witness has to be totally independent. This one was a fund raiser for Wilders. Not quite independent.

The court case will take place in the autumn but he is allowed two expert witnesses to back him up and like everything else nobody wants to touch him witha barge pole. He is now considered bad luck.

Off topic. An online HTML table generator can be found at
http://www.quackit.com/html/html_table_generator.cfm

Alas it comes out literally in this editor.

Perhaps some opening and closing tags may work. Right now, don't know.

Yep it is looking good. The VVD leader Rutte did well in the television debates. Wilders not.

A police station in The Hague has been targeted by unknown arsonists. On Monday evening a molotov cocktail hit the outside wall of the building in the Dutch political capital, causing a fire.

No-one was injured in the attack, which has not been claimed. Police are investigating traces left by the anonymous attackers, local station RTV West reports. The police station is in a residential quarter of the city.

Hi Nine,

It must have been a very small incident. TV West is our very local television station. Non comercial paid by taxes BTW. It is very local.
The article from TV West:

Brandbom tegen politiebureau
gisteren 07:00 25-5-2010

http://www.westonline.nl/nieuwsitem/41700

Beresteinlaan is what here is called the 'grey area' between the aso part of the city and a better area on the south east of the city. I am afraid kids there do this sort of thing all the time that is why it did not reach the regular papers.
On TV West everything is reported even when a cow falls into a ditch!

On the politcal scene:
Politieke Baraometer:
25-05-2010

VVD 37
PvdA 30
CDA 26
PVV Wilders 18
GroenLinks 10
SP 9
D66 9
CU 7

Not much change. "Paarse" has just a majority but it is very fragile. The policies differences between PvdA and the VVD are enormous but thats Dutch politics and when it comes to coalition building it is always amazing how policies change.
Under two more weeks and we will know.
