What we saw last night was orchestrated by Trump and his campaign. Make no mistake, he did prep for this and he carried it out just as his campaign had hoped.
They knew there was no chance of wining a fair and logical debate with Biden so their goal was
1: Avoid answering any of the questions by making accusations against Biden instead, hiding the fact that Donald Trump is a fucking dumbshit.
2: Shout over Biden so no one will hear his reasoned arguments as to why he is the right choice for President.
3: Lure Biden into a shouting match so the "both sides" argument could lessen the impact of him being such a fucking ass.
They largely succeeded.

Look at his approval rating. After almost four years of fucking things up, his approval rating is almost 7 percentage points higher than after almost four years of fucking things up. There's a school of thought that this was part of an ongoing deliberate and mendacious effort to turn people off and away from politics, to cause people to disengage and just be apathetic. If the mango maniac caused enough damage the others would be canceled. The debates should go ahead and not allow Team Twittler to delegitimise them. Not sure what the recourse is if they balk at proposed changes to the structure [despite said maniac breaking rules set for the first debate].

Apparently individual campaign donations went through the roof for Biden during the debate. Over 30 million to my recollection. Loads more corporate donors also applied. 10s of thousands of campaign volunteers signed up.

I hope this isn't some stunt to 'prove' Covid isn't that big of a deal or that Trump is so strong he heals from it within a couple of days.
