Wringingof hands and wailing won't change things.....people will and are making changes toward sustainable civ.

Again even a few people can destroy an ecosystem ....you would need to drop to hunter gatherer status and life span snd even they were hard on ecosystems.

We have the technology to do sustainable and efforts here and there are making progress. Taking pressure off wild fish stocks is a major challenge and being met sort of by sustainable fish farming ( lots of lessons learned there ).

Hmm. I also admit to be one that wouldn't mind life extension or perhaps functional immortality.
As far the pressures humans are placing on the planet through numbers etc, there is the idea of orbital/celestial body colonisation as well as relocating things like heavy industry into Low Earth Orbit.
This is predicated on improving and seriously reducing the cost/impact of getting to orbit. Anti-gravity anyone?

People are confusing the 12 years left to act strongly with end of times

Planet will go on, human civilization will go on, rewritten map tho by end of century from sea level rise and some pretty strong shifts in agriculture and fishng patterns.
