:waah: I am not able to go anymore. In the past 2 months my country's currency slipped by more than 20% against the AU$. Fkn Europeans and their crises

Same here, Ed! I assumed the AUD was about 30 Indian rupees. It's actually 51 rupees now!

I'll have to ask for a bailout from mom. :D

But you must come! It won't be the same without the codpiece boy! Please oh please oh please!

I am going to the GAC. The only thing missing which I will book next week as soon as my credit card is payed, is the hotel. Starr has been kind and has pointed out to me some hotels.

(Hopefully the situation will not be as bad as it is now, economically.)

Those who I've PM'd about providing details for seating arrangements - name, confirmation number, e-mail address, dietary preferences - need to get back to me or Loki a.s.a.p. please.

if money is tight DC, then I recommend staying at one of two YHA hostels: The Melbourne Metro [where Mrs DBD and I are staying] or the YHA Melbourne Central. [Where I have stayed. A private room [with or without ensuite bathroom] is much cheaper than most hotels, and you meet interesting people there.

We use these places often when in Melbourne and have never been disappointed. They are clean, quiet, cheap and often have intersting things going on.

Just realised that I won't be able to come. I'm scheduled to do the Canberra half marathon on the 15th of April.

Can't you just run to Melbourne instead ?

While I would love to come, I started a "Life Goals" list prior to nowing about the date of the GAC which included running the half marathon on that weekend. Hopefully this will continue to be an annual event and I can come in 2013.

The GAC seems to be biennial. So you could skip the marathon this time and go to the GAC and do the marathon in 2013.
